HNR Welcomes Screenwriter William Massa to the Team!

We’ve got another contributor who has joined the ranks, and he’s a bad man. But don’t take my word for it, just read on for the details!

William Massa is a professional screenwriter who lives and writes in Venice beach, CA.  Originally from New York City, he spent many of his formative years in Luxembourg, Europe, where the sun rarely shines and long gloomy, rainy days probably encouraged a fascination with all things that go bump in the night.

Exposed to a steady diet of German horror pulp fiction, American Comic books and the work of such horror titans as King, Koontz, Barker, McCammon and Herbert , his path seemed set at an early age.

Once back in NYC, Bill started writing screenplays and finally made the move out West after being hired to pen a TV movie about H. H. Holmes, America’s first serial killer, for the USA Network.  The movie never happened (too dark for TV), but more sales of scripts, pitches and assignment work followed. Among his more notable credits are ‘Anaconda 2’ (his draft wasn’t used) and ‘Return to House on Haunted Hill’ (for better or worse, that’s my script).

Bill loves horror, action-adventure and science fiction and has tried to combine all those genres in much of his work.  He’s been moonlighting as a story analyst and is currently hard at work on his first horror-action novel, ‘Occult Assassin.’

If you’re too lazy to read all that (shame on you), here’s the SHORT VERSION: William Massa is a professional screenwriter who lives and writes in Venice beach, CA. Among his more notable credits are ‘Anaconda 2’ (his draft wasn’t used) and ‘Return to House on Haunted Hill.’  He is currently hard at work on his first horror-action novel, ‘Occult Assassin.’
