Duncan Ralston, The Method review

Written by Paula Limbaugh

The Method by Duncan Ralston was a Kindle Scout book that I voted for and WooHoo, it was selected and I received an advanced copy, YAY!

Linda and Frank Moffat are at a stalemate in their marriage, while out rock climbing with a couple of old friends the subject of a weekend marriage retreat comes up. Trevor and Dillon swear by it, their marriage is stronger than ever and highly recommend this unorthodox “method” of healing a broken marriage. Intrigued and with nothing to lose, the Moffats sign up.

Lone Loon Lodge is located in the wilds of Montana, upon arrival the Moffats learn that only one other couple will be joining them. At first, all seems fine except for the fact that the husbands and wives each have their own room, and Oh, their cell phones are checked at the door, no distractions.

So, with luxurious accommodations, views to die for, and hopefully a jumpstart in their marriage what could go wrong? Hmm…

While walking through the woods the Moffats witness a murder, knowing they must get help, they try to make their way back to the lodge without drawing attention to themselves.  But when they finally arrive they find the lodge is overrun by a group with their own sinister agenda. This group of freedom fighters claims Dr. Kasper stole their land and they are taking it back by any means. Soon enough the Moffats find themselves fighting for their survival, not knowing who to trust they find they must work together if they are going to get out of this alive.

The synopsis sounds pretty cut and dried, but no, it’s not that simple. There are so many different twists and turns that I wasn’t sure where this was going until the very end. Intense and full of action, this is definitely a fast-paced read. It’s up for pre-order right now on Amazon, you can get your copy HERE!!

4/5  the method
