The Thoughts of a Horror Fanatic Welcoming a New Baby Into the World
For the unaware, my wife and I welcomed our third child into the world yesterday. Our second son – and third child is absolutely amazing. Naturally I wanted to open my heart to those interested in reading the thoughts of a horror fanatic, madly in love with the latest addition to his family. I crafted a lengthy piece for one of my employers and if you’ve got kids and you love horror you should certainly give this piece a read. It means a great deal to me. It’s a piece that means a great deal to me, and I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I’m not sure, Matt — if the idea of the new bundle of joy does any real justice here. And I don’t have any kids myself. But the transformative affect — the room where the idea rests, is not a quiet room. I think horror lives with it.
I appreciate you — for including us in your lives. I can see the weighted, weary happiness sunk in your faces. And it’s a beautiful thing — this life that we live. And people like you, your wife and kids, that keep it fresh and invigorating.

I love it! You make a meaningful connection between your own experience and fatherhood and horror movies. It’s original and insightful.

Firstly, congrats on the new member of your family, your second son. And second, it was nice to share your thoughts with us about your life’s quests and successes. Having children that are happy with their lives is a success in itself. My children are 23 and 17 and are on their way to becoming two very different adults. Hopefully I and my wife have provided a stable platform for them to grow from.

Congrats on the baby! I got three myself. However, I cannot truly be sure they are mine as they refuse to read anything associated with horror. Given that two of them are only five, I can cut them a little slack. But the eight year old I cannot be too sure about. lol.
