Michael E. Henderson ‘A Beast In Venice’ Review
Written by: Vitina Molgaard
“We know what we are, but know not what we may be.” –William Shakespeare
Brighton Stone , an artist waiting for success and working his way toward just that, has one very large fear…aging and death, in particular. Such a talented man but that is just not enough for him. As a result of his dissatisfaction he seeks out a way to live long and well known. This artist is an American who now lives in Venice, Italy with his beloved wife, Rose.
During a showing of his artwork at a local studio, Brighton meets another American, Charles Raymond, a wealthy man who appears to be deserious of becoming a patron of all his work. Charles in reality does want that and much more, as he is a vampire, willing to offer Brighton eternal life.
As such this artist finds himself caught up in his temptations and what the price to achieve them actually are. The question is will he succeed ?
Often vampire tales are not what I enjoy, but this one is an excellent story.
Michael E. Henderson has written an extraordinary horror story. He takes us to strange and dark places that I thoroughly enjoyed. This is a tale that comes highly recoomend. The twists and turns that the main character is willing to go through as he tries to recover his make for compelling scenarios and fantastic journeys.
I suggest you give this one a look now. I found A Beast in Venice to be far more than just another mediocre read. I think you’ll agree.
