Michaelbrent Collings ‘Twisted’ Review
Written by: Paula Limbaugh
What a wicked, sick, twisted, creepy, I want to read it again book! Man, it’s hard to fathom where the idea for this story came from, unbelieveable. I’ve read quite a few of Michaelbrent Collings’ books and enjoyed them all but this has to be the best. I have to say I think I am pretty fearless, it takes a lot to creep me out, make me jump, etc. but when it comes to centipedes, yes I said centipedes, I freak. I hate them! When I read of the centipede invasion, that was it! Aah, but I am getting ahead of myself. Let’s start anew.
Michaelbrent Collings is a best selling author of The Colony saga, The Loon, The Haunted and quite a few more, he has also authored a YA series called The Billy Saga. Twisted marks the latest offering from this author.
Blake Douglas has fought the hard fight to get past his childhood of abuse. Now married, with a family of his own you would think the poor man would finally catch a break and live happily ever after, but alas it’s not to be. With money tight and jobs scarce, Blake is living on a shoestring. Plagued by nightmares of his past and fears that he may become like his father once was, Blake doesn’t need anymore on his plate and yet it keeps piling on. A newborn daughter with health issues is just one more misfortune to bear, if only.
“Small legs appear at the edge of the fissure. Two. Then four, then six. And then they are legion. Insectile legs, jagged and long and clawed. “
“Something is coming, something is coming, something……is here.”
Screams! Blake awakens to screams. Entering his son’s room is like waking up in a nightmare. And this is only the beginning, it gets worse, much worse. I hate spoilers, no more will I say, except to tell you READ this book, it’s good! You can pick up your copy here.
